Secure file sharing for Mac with native OS X integration
Infrascale released FileLocker for Mac, with native OS X integration. OS X users now have direct access to File Locker’s Ultrasafe features as well as Private Cloud deployment options, delivering secure file sharing for the Mac – and the connected enterprise.
“Today’s enterprises must service a wide variety of devices and platforms for their business users. The proliferation of BYOD demonstrates the need for a single architecture for file-optimized cloud storage with native interfaces for all of a company’s consuming platforms,” said Ken Shaw, CEO, Infrascale.
FileLocker addresses the primary enterprise file sharing security issues of data leaks, unauthorized access, and data loss prevention. FileLocker now has endpoint support for Windows, Windows Server, Android, iOS, Windows Mobile and OS X.
Whereas Mac users could previously enjoy FileLocker via a web interface, the OS X Sync Application now allows users to seamlessly integrate their daily work into the FileLocker Platform. They can, for example, sync an unlimited number of folders from their Mac to the cloud – and from the cloud to their Mac or other devices, whether on FileLocker’s public or private cloud deployment.
In addition, Mac users can now securely sync sensitive data with the Ultrasafe Sync feature, which means that data sits behind double-blind encryption across the desktop, Internet and in the cloud.
Administrators can now also use the device management functionality for all applications, Mac included. Features include device-level authorization, IP tracking and remote wipe, allowing all users, whether using Windows or Mac or the Web App, to improve their productivity and data security with the FileLocker service.
