Quarri delivers Protect On Q as a virtual appliance
Quarri Technologies released Quarri Protect On Q (POQ) 3.2, a virtual appliance version of its flagship web browser security solution. It also delivers high availability, enabling enterprises to deploy a hot-failover POQ system across their network.
“With the significant adoption of virtualization, expect an increase in the deployment of virtual security appliances as these offer better flexibility with increasingly mobile workloads and simplified architecture,” noted Ruggero Contu, research director at Gartner in the Predicts 2013: Security Solutions report.*
Quarri POQ enables organizations to address a variety of challenging web information security issues, including external and internal data threats, and unauthorized use and replication of confidential data. POQ 3.2 enables organizations to deploy POQ in a turnkey, hypervisor-ready solution, and supports popular hypervisors, including VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V and Oracle VirtualBox.
“As businesses continue to evolve their infrastructures to encompass virtualized environments, they are looking for solutions to keep sensitive information secure on managed and unmanaged devices,” said Bill Morrow, CEO and executive chairman of Quarri. “Providing POQ as a virtual appliance gives organizations the flexibility to choose a deployment option that best fits their needs.”
Leveraging Quarri’s patented technology, the POQ hardened browser provides zero-hour malware protection against key logging, frame grabbing, cache mining and inbound attacks. POQ also enables enterprises to enforce information security controls that prevent end users from copying, saving, printing or screen-capturing browser-delivered data, preventing costly data breaches.
