UnboundID unveils Privacy Suite
UnboundID released its Privacy Suite, a solution that brings transparency, choice, and control to the collection and on-going management of personal data, while authorizing and governing the use of this data in real-time. The Suite provides the technology foundation for companies to ensure compliance with their stated privacy practices and enables them to build business models that leverage customer identity data.
Built on the UnboundID Identity Data Platform, the privacy solution gives users more control over their data. The Privacy Suite allows service providers, such as telecommunications, high tech and financial services companies to effectively and securely collect, manage, and share customer identity data while respecting customers’ privacy wishes.
A wealth of personal data is being collected, sold and shared by service providers, and consumers are not always informed or aware of how their personal and private information is being used. The Privacy Suite provides transparency to customers and gives them access to the personal data their service providers possess.
The Suite also allows customers to have choice and control over their data. They can set preferences and determine the parameters of how and to what capacity their data is leveraged or shared. By involving customers more, service providers can better meet their needs and desires as well as establish customer trust and loyalty.
The Privacy Suite authorizes the release of data via policies that combine customer consent choices with internal access policies. If access violates internal policies or the individual’s consent, the data cannot be retrieved.
Key features:
Privacy preferences management – Enables the individual customer to make context-sensitive choices regarding the disclosure of personal data and provides the means to centrally manage those choices and the data that they have shared.
High-scale authorization engine – Designed to authorize data access requests in real-time for consumer-facing applications and services.
Dynamic, consent-driven policies – Provides templates for defining data access policies that leverage volatile customer privacy preferences and dynamic request based criteria.
Centralized data access governance – Centralizes the definition, enforcement, and auditing of policy-based decisions regarding personal data.
