Real world social engineering challenge at HITBSECCONF2013
Global IT services provider Sogeti will launch their social engineering challenge during the Hack In The Box Amsterdam conference in April.
The challenge will be to social engineer one of the top 100 Dutch companies.
Registration is open and spaces are given out on a first come, first serve basis. Make sure you read the rules. The challenge will be monitored closely in order to make sure no information is accidentally disclosed.
Last year, Sogeti was the first IT services provider to bring this challenge to Europe and the 2012 results reveal that it is relatively easy to retrieve information from large leading organizations.
Sogeti wants to make more organisations aware of the importance of developing an effective security policy in order to avoid reputation damage, privacy issues or any other consequences resulting from the leakage of confidential information.
