F-Secure launches Internet Security 2012
F-Secure launched Internet Security 2012, an improved version of its online safety offering.
It is easy to use and the new Launch pad provides convenient access to all parts of the solution. All Online Safety settings are now personalized for each user. Browsing Protection prevents access to unsafe websites trying to infect the computer with malware. Parental Control protects children from inappropriate web content and excessive computer use with its Web Filtering and Time Lock features.
Technology improvements include DeepGuard 4 with its intelligent application monitoring. Manual and real-time malware scanning performance and malware removal capabilities have also been improved. The company’s cloud-based real-time protection network gives instant reputation data about websites and files, so harmful websites and emerging threats can be identified fast and accurately.
As a new feature, F-Secure Internet Security 2012 protects against unwanted mobile broadband bills when roaming with a computer using Windows 7. It automatically optimizes the computer’s mobile broadband use both in the home network and when abroad to prevent 3G mobile broadband bills adding up into an expensive surprise.
The solution will be available from October 25th, existing customers will get a free upgrade. In addition the company will be offering F-Secure Internet Security 2012 Plus, which combines F-Secure Internet Security 2012 and F-Secure Mobile Security for complete protection of both your computer and smartphone or tablet.
