Facebook mobile users get password reset option
Facebook has announced it will be adding a very welcome security feature for the 250 million users accessing the social network through their mobile devices – the password reset option:
“If you ever forget your password or get locked out of your account, we want to make it easy to get back on Facebook,” says Dan Muriello, an engineer on the site integrity team.
The rolling out of the feature will be slow so that the team can receive feedback from the users and use it to improve it.
“You can now choose the email address where you want to receive recovery links, and we are offering additional ways to confirm your identity,” wrote Muriello but didn’t specify which they are. Maybe it will be a variation of the account verification questions introduced last year?
