BufferZone Pro now free
Trustware just made BufferZone Pro completely free.
BufferZone Pro adds an additional layer of protection to the traditional security suites addressed for the home users. It creates a separate – or virtual – environment that isolates security threats and prevents them from ever touching the user’s hard drive.
BufferZone protection prevents all threats, even unknown (zero-day) threats that anti-virus misses. There are no signature updates, no maintenance and no response time.
“Threat Virtualization or Sandboxing is rapidly becoming the newest tool to protect against today’s sophisticated attacks. Kaspersky, Avast, Checkpoint and others have begun to offer threat virtualization as a component of their paid suites. Now, Chrome is in beta with a browser virtualization solution to protect against Adobe Flash vulnerabilities but only works with Chrome,” said Trustware CEO Jim Penosky.
“With the free BufferZone Pro, users can protect their PC against zero-day attacks while using whichever browser they choose. Also, BufferZone Pro protects IM, p2p and email as well all in an easy to use solution. We’re excited because this offer opens the door for BufferZone Pro’s preventive security to be used freely by everyone,” Penosky added.
