Chrome sandboxes Flash Player
It’s good news for Windows users – Chrome developers have added a Flash Player sandbox to the development channel of the browser, adding to the already present sandboxing capabilities for HTML rendering and JavaScript execution.
Windows XP users will especially benefit from this move, since with this move Chrome became the first and only browser so far to run Flash Player in a sandbox on the XP OS.
The Flash Player sandboxing feature will be extended to all other Chrome channels in time, but for the time being, Chrome developers are interested in and waiting for feedback from the dev channel users.
All users who are not interested in using the feature until it exits the testing phase can disable it by adding –disable-flash-sandbox to the command line.
