Phishing spam from “Bank of Nevada”
What seemed like a typical phishing email was received by TrendLabs for analysis, but turned out to be just a ploy to get users to visit a malicious site with adult content.
The email was supposedly coming from the Bank of Nevada:
The recipient that clicked on the embedded URL would be taken to a fake Bank of Nevada website, and after a few second on to the adult site:
TrendMicro experts were able to find out 29 unique domains related to this attack – no mention about these websites serving malware.
