Fake Amazon email ships malware
The image of an open Amazon delivery box has a prominent place in the latest spam campaign that aims to trick users into downloading an alleged order update coming from the dot com giant.
Sophos’ Graham Cluley assumes that it has been included in a bid to make users automatically trust the sender and open the attachment without giving it a second thought.
What the attachment named Shipping documents.zip really contains is a Trojan that runs on your computer and is designed to drop more malware during the time it’s there.
