New product releases at McAfee: Foundstone 6.0, Remediation Manager 4.5 and Policy Auditor 4.5

McAfee announced that it has enhanced its security risk management portfolio with new versions of its risk and compliance solutions. McAfee Foundstone 6.0, McAfee Remediation Manager 4.5 and McAfee Policy Auditor 4.5 help enterprises address threats and vulnerabilities that could endanger their businesses. These solutions enable enterprises to find, evaluate, and fix IT vulnerabilities and policy violations.

Risk management is all about visibility. McAfee Foundstone provides the tools to easily find and evaluate your assets for vulnerabilities and compliance with your IT security policies. McAfee Foundstone 6.0 features all new reporting that enables companies to create highly customizable results for security experts or business managers. It also provides timely risk intelligence for McAfee’s IntruShield network intrusion prevention solution, enabling network security experts to focus on the most critical attacks.

McAfee Foundstone is also the only network scanner to incorporate countermeasure intelligence from a widely deployed, proven system protection solution — McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), with 45 million installations at enterprises worldwide. Because ePO data provides a complete system picture for more accurate assessments, customers will reduce the sense of urgency and patch only the most vulnerable systems.

While Foundstone finds vulnerabilities, McAfee Remediation Manager fixes them. McAfee Remediation Manager 4.5 enables automated remediation of vulnerabilities and correction of policy violations. The new version features integration with McAfee ePO and McAfee Network Access Control (NAC) enabling Remediation Manager to import asset information from ePO and remediate quarantined devices in accordance with set policies.

McAfee Policy Auditor 4.5 delivers automated policy audit of managed assets, increases efficiency and reduces uncertainty. This increases return- on-investment because companies can deploy it through McAfee’s common management console, McAfee ePO. McAfee Policy Auditor also features expanded support for industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001 and PCI.
