Blue Coat SG Client to be presented at Interop Las Vegas

Blue Coat Systems announced that it will demonstrate its Blue Coat SGâ„?Client product in its booth at Interop Las Vegas, May 22-24, 2007. SG Client, together with the award-winning SG appliance is a WAN optimization solution for mobile and remote enterprise users and began shipping in April 2007. Blue Coat® SG Client extends enterprise security, control and acceleration to remote enterprise users, regardless of their location.

According to a Blue Coat survey of over 1,400 IT professionals conducted earlier this year, 82% expected to see an increase in the number of mobile users from their enterprise during 2007. Other industry research has indicated that there has already been a significant increase in the percentage of enterprise employees who are provided with laptop computers instead of desktop computers.

“Blue Coat SG Client extends the security, control and acceleration of our SG appliances to the remote endpoint,” said Chris King, director of strategic marketing, Blue Coat Systems. “Enterprises can offer a quality, ‘in-office’ experience to users regardless of location.”
