Common Criteria EAL 3+ certification for Vanguard Enforcer
Vanguard Integrity Professionals today announced it has earned Common Criteria EAL 3+ certification for Vanguard Enforcer, its industry-leading, intrusion detection and management solution for governments and large organizations worldwide. The only mainframe software to achieve EAL 3+ certification, Vanguard Enforcer is now recognized as the most secure solution for continuously monitoring and analyzing mission-critical activities and events for customers with IBM System z Security Server (RACF) implementations.
To achieve EAL 3+ certification, Vanguard Enforcer was evaluated in the areas of product functionality, development environment, security vulnerabilities, security-related documentation and product testing. The certification process, which took more than one year to complete, also scrutinized Vanguard’s corporate processes, procedures and systems thus earning the ‘+’ recognition.
“We are delighted that Vanguard Enforcer will be Common Criteria certified and that Vanguard selected atsec for this important project,” said Jim Porell, IBM Chief Architect, System z Software. “As a provider of System z security management software, Vanguard’s products complement IBM’s initiatives with the U.S. Government and other highly secure organizations.”
