New versions of SurfControl’s neural network based dynamic categorization agent

SurfControl announced three new versions of Virtual Content Agent, a neural network based dynamic categorization agent.
 
Recent advances in neural network tuning and neural net training infrastructure have allowed SurfControl to produce new versions of Virtual Content Agent optimized for French, Italian, and English with significant improvements tuned to increase the effectiveness of all of its content categories. Virtual Content Agent is an added-value component to enhance SurfControl’s categorization database and provides a categorization even if a site is too new to be in the database.

SurfControl also announced the development of SurfBayes, a next-generation Bayesian-inspired categorization engine with greater accuracy at faster speeds than leading competitive solutions. Bayesian filtering is a popular mechanism to distinguish illegitimate spam email from legitimate email.
