ImageWare Systems Receives Orders For Its IWS Biometric Engine
SAN DIEGO – ImageWare Systems, Inc. (AMEX: IW), a world leading developer and provider of identity management solutions, today announced that it has received new orders for its IWSâ„? Biometric Engine, which will be used for an undisclosed multi-phase Federal government security project. The IWS Biometric Engine is a next-generation biometric identity management platform designed specifically for multi-biometric searching and matching. The Biometric Engine operates with all current biometric capture devices and is highly scalable, allowing organizations to manage population databases of unlimited sizes.
This initial phase of this project valued at over $500,000, will leverage the IWS Biometric Engine as an enrollment, management and authentication platform utilizing multiple biometric identifiers including face, LiveScan fingerprints, iris, writer’s palm, voice and signature.

The IWS Biometric Engine can be integrated into a variety of large-scale applications such as national ID, border control, watch list, voter registration, driver license, and airport security, among others. The IWS Biometric Engine’s multi-biometric enrollment, management and authentication platform allows users to search and match tens of millions of biometrics including but not limited to LiveScan fingerprints, face, iris, hand geometry, palm, DNA, signature, voice, 3D face and retina for identity confirmation. Searches can be 1:1 (verification), 1:N (identification) and X:N (investigative).
