P-Encryption Suite 3.0: Maximum Protection for Your Documents
SUN PRAIRIE, Wisconsin. – September 21, 2005: Cadabra Software announces today the release of P-Encryption Suite (PES), the newest version of the encryption program for the Windows OS. It gives you a powerful combination of encryption options to protect your electronic documents from nosy people and criminals. Using PES, you can encrypt any kind of file or document with one of the four encryption algorithms, including AES, Blowfish, TwoFish and TripleDES. The encrypted document is protected by a password and can be stored on the hard drive as it is, or placed within an image or a song. The latter makes the document totally protected from intruders, as they are simply not aware of its existence.
The strength of P-Encryption Suite is its pain free ability to modify encrypted files. Thanks to the set of add-ins, you can edit a document directly from within the program. Instead of the hard drive, the document is extracted to memory, which is good, because after editing you leave no traces of this file behind. Currently, the software comes with the add-ins that let you view over 30 image formats, read PDF files, edit spreadsheets and rich text documents. You can choose add-ins to install during the PES installation. If there’s no add-in for a particular file, the program extracts it to a temporary directory, opens it in the default application for editing and saves all modifications to the encrypted file. The disk copy is automatically shredded.
For maximum document security PES utilizes an anti-keylogger technology. This means that if you edit a document from within the program, this technology disables all spy software that secretly records your keystrokes. Customers will also discover a file shredding facility, which can erase any document, making it completely unrecoverable even for the most advanced software. This cannot be achieved by simply deleting a file to the Windows recycle bin or deleting it from the bin, because it can still be restored by special recovery software. Another interesting option is the creation of self-extracting archives. It lets you access the encrypted file even if the computer doesn’t have PES software installed. All it takes is to create an SFX module, burn it to CD or DVD right from the program and take the disk with you.
