AEP Networks Launches New Website, Brand Identity To “Secure You Infrastructure”

RSA CONFERENCE 2005, San Francisco – Feb. 15, 2005 – AEP Networks, the specialist in network and application access security, has formally launched its new website, www.aepnetworks.com, complete with a new logo and brand identity. The merger of AEP Systems and Netilla® Networks to form AEP Networks was announced last December, and the new website and brand identity mark the formal integration of the two companies.

Launch of the new website also sets the stage for a steady stream of new introductions this year in both SSL VPN and IPSec-based highly secure networking product families. Here at RSA, AEP Networks is launching the Netilla Secure Gateway Appliance-M (SGA-M), designed to strengthen security and simplify deployment for companies using Microsoft® Outlook® Web Access (see separate press release issued today).

“The new AEP Networks logo calls to mind a fortress with turrets for perimeter security, reinforcing our theme of “Secure Your Infrastructure,'” said Pat Donnellan, chief executive officer of AEP Networks. “We’re defining ourselves as the specialist in network and application access security. Our cleanly-designed new website reinforces that “specialist’ identity by showcasing the breadth of our product line – spanning SSL VPNs, highly secure VPNs for encrypted site-to-site communications, advanced hardware modules for protected key management, and more.”

“As we unveil our new website and brand identity, we also underscore our commitment to our channel partners worldwide – the distributors, integrators and value-added resellers who have been central to our success thus far,” said Reggie Best, AEP Networks’ executive vice president of marketing and general manager of the Secure Application Access Business Unit. “We plan to provide these partners with an even broader spectrum of solutions designed to meet all of their customers’ secure access requirements – with a concentration on public sector and healthcare.”

Underscoring its channel focus, the new site provides comprehensive information and support for channel partners, including an interactive Knowledge Base for product tech and configuration tips, an extensive Reference Library, online product documentation and details on VAR programs.

The new site features comprehensive information on AEP Networks’ primary product lines:
“Secure Application Access (SSL VPN) Products, including the Netilla Security Platform (NSP) and Netilla Secure Gateway Appliance (SGA) lines, which enable secure access to corporate applications via standard Web browsers.
“Highly Secure Networking (IPSec VPN) Products. These include the AEP Net line of high-security VPNs for encrypting IP traffic across WAN and LAN networks, providing data confidentiality and source authentication.
“Key Management Products, consisting of the AEP Keyper hardware security modules. Offered in three models (Enterprise, Professional, PCI), the Keyper provides security and high performance for protected key storage, high-speed signature and hardware key generation.

AEP Networks plans to build upon this launch during the year with expanded advertising, marketing and awareness initiatives in leading industry publications, online resources and presence at key industry events, including InfoSecurity UK in London in April.
