Kaspersky Lab presents Kaspersky Personal Security Suite 1.0
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management systems, announces the release of a new product for home users: Kaspersky Personal Security Suite 1.0. This solution, composed of three programs, extends the company’s product portfolio and provides all-in-one protection against all cyber-threats: malicious programs, hacker attacks and spam.
The antivirus element of Kaspersky Personal Security Suite effectively blocks all sources of malicious code by monitoring all infection vectors, including file operations, data storage locations and email. In addition, the program functions in background mode leaving users free to concentrate on surfing the Internet and communicating with friends.
The firewall monitors data exchanged between the computer and the Internet, and blocks unsanctioned access to user data. Hacker attacks are averted, and programs accessing the Internet are also monitored for suspicious activity. With the ‘stealth’ function, the user can hide the computer from other Internet users, while continuing to work as normal.
The anti-spam program, based on Spamtest technologies developed by Ashmanov and Partners, enables home users to keep their mailboxes free from unsolicited correspondence. Multi-level filtration of mail traffic includes the application of intelligent content and graphical analysis, and a large data base of spam signatures. The Spamtest linguistic laboratory, which releases updates to the spam databases around the clock, helps to ensure maximum protection.
‘With Kaspersky Personal Security Suite, we’re offering home users protection against all cyber threats. Cutting edge technology, a user friendly product, and excellent service – hourly updates to the antivirus and spam signature databases – ensure that users will be protected against even the very newest viruses and types of spam’ commented Alexey Kalgin, Head of Product Development.
