Mirage Networks Names VP Of Business Development

Austin, Texas – January 31, 2005 – Mirage Networks, Inc., the pioneer in security solutions for Interior Network Defense, today announced that Michael D’Eath has joined the company as Vice President of Corporate and Business Development. Mr. D’Eath leverages 34 years of business development experience in software, hardware and services. He will create and manage Mirage Networks’ strategic alliances as a critical component of the company’s internal network security offering.

Immediately prior to joining Mirage Networks, Mr. D’Eath was in charge of the Negotiation Office at Sun Microsystems, which he joined through the acquisition of Waveset Technologies in 2003. As Vice President of Corporate and Business Development for Waveset, D’Eath led Waveset’s acquisition team.

Recognized as one the industry’s leading business development professionals, Mr. D’Eath has served such companies as Novell, Esquire Corporation, Prime Computer and TivoliSystems, which he was instrumental in introducing to IBM for a $750 million acquisition in 1996. He is the former founder, CEO and President of CaritaSoft, a provider of customer value management solutions for the communications industry.
