Forum Systems Xwall Web Services Firewall Released On Borland Jbuilder 2005 Companion CD
Salt Lake City, UT – September 13, 2004 – Forum Systems, Inc., leading provider of trust management and threat protection Web services security solutions, today announced that its Forum XWall Web Services Firewall will be packaged with the BorlandR JBuilderR 2005 Companion CD from Borland Software Corporation which is scheduled to ship this week. JBuilder 2005 developers can use Forum XWall to secure their Web services without having to custom build or hard-wire security into application logics. Forum XWall allows developers to focus on development of Web services while ensuring trustworthy, interoperable and reliable delivery of critical business API’s.
“Forum Systems’ products offer a flexible, developer-focused product design that is valuable to Borland’s large Java community,” said Bill Pataky, senior director of product operations at Borland. “Forum’s products include the necessary security and interoperability features that enable web services developers to save time and production costs by centralizing security outside the application.”
“We’re pleased to support Borland’s award-winning development solution and help its strong Java development community close the gap between security deployment and application deployment without compromising performance,” said Wes Swenson, president and CEO of Forum Systems. “In particular, as vendor specifications and standards show variances in implementation, the developer will be burdened with unnecessary maintenance tasks. By relying on central policy enforcement products such as Forum XWall, the Web services developer will now be able to ensure that consumers of their Web services have appropriate privileges to Business API’s and applications are continuously available.”
Forum XWall released with Borland JBuilder 2005 is designed to allow developers to use their WSDL (Web Services Description Language) document as a template to create security rules – in a matter of minutes. Developers will immediately benefit from integrated WS-I (Web Services Interoperability) compliance testing that offers design time as well as run-time conformance checks.
Forum Systems is also a new member of the Borland Technology Partner Program, working with Borland to deliver exceptional tools for the Java development community. Forum Systems will continue to provide Borland customers with flexible technology options that increase efficiencies for interoperable Web services now and into the future.
