I-S-Cubed and nCipher Sign Collaboration, Reseller Agreements
San Jose, CA – June 15, 2004 – I-S-Cubed (iS3), a global provider of secure key management solutions for network-connected devices, today announced it has signed collaboration and reseller agreements with nCipher plc, a leading provider of cryptographic IT security solutions. Under the terms of these agreements, I-S-Cubed will feature nCipher’s HSMs (Hardware Security Modules) as a critical security component of I-S-Cubed’s SecureOMS(tm) system. In addition to this technical collaboration, both companies will actively sell the solution to their respective customers, and participate in a variety of co-marketing programs.
This new strategic relationship will aid I-S-Cubed in growing its overall customer base. In particular, I-S-Cubed will be able to expand its geographic base into Europe and other territories, as a result of the nCipher partnership. nCipher will market SecureOMS as an integral element of its expanding product line that targets the payment processing market. Current and potential customers of both companies will benefit from solutions that integrate the best available security components for their needs.
“Our agreements with nCipher are significant as they will help us to offer a cost-effective, fortified product line while increasing our market and geographic reach,” said Joerg Ferchau, CEO of I-S-Cubed. “nCipher is a recognized and trusted provider of cryptographic IT security solutions, which complements our product offerings well. The company’s quality of product offerings and its well-established presence in Europe will support I-S-Cubed in meeting our growth and expansion goals as we move into a number of rapidly emerging markets.”
“I-S-Cubed is an innovative and fast growing company that has rapidly established itself at the forefront of the ATM (Automated Teller Machine) key management market,” said Richard Moulds, vice president of marketing at nCipher. “As nCipher’s customer base already includes many of the world’s leading banks and financial institutions, we see our new partnership with I-S-Cubed as a significant opportunity to provide our customers with device management infrastructure that offers both compelling security and cost saving benefits.
