Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Books The Training Camp for Ethical Hacking Course
Philadelphia, PA – May 17, 2004 – The Cybercrimes unit of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has selected The Training Camp to deliver a five-day course on ethical hacking.
The Cybercrime unit is responsible for investigating almost every crime that involves a computer, including Homeland Security issues. In the Certified Ethical Hacking course detectives learn how to identify signs of hacking, trace activity to the initiator, and put into practice ways to protect against hackers.
“We see a huge spectrum of activity, from hacking to Internet security breaches, and our team needs to know the latest technology, to get behind the scenes, and track the criminals behind these acts,” said Larry Smith, detective at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. “We have established a good relationship with The Training Camp, which provides expert instructors, high quality course material and resources, consistent customer support, and value for money.”
The Las Vegas Police have already been on several courses with The Training Camp, a recognized industry leader in accelerated learning for information technology. The customized on-site program, which immerses students in the training and technology without distraction, allows detectives to certify at the same time, adding immediate value to the work of the department.
“The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Cyber Crimes unit has been extremely proactive in their efforts to gain the latest skills and hone their understanding of new technologies in an effort to fight crime. It is this commitment to continuing technical education that ensures they remain a world class Cyber Crimes Unit,” said Rick Van Luvender, Vice President of Security and Product Development at The Training Camp.
