Pointsec Signs Agreement with Volvo IT
Pointsec Mobile Technologies, a subsidiary of IT security company Protect Data and a global leader in mobile enterprise security, today announced it has signed a license agreement with the vehicle manufacturer Volvo IT. The order consists of 2,500 licenses for the encryption solution Pointsec(r) for Pocket PC 2.1 including support and maintenance. Delivery and invoicing took place during December 2003.
Pointsec for Pocket PC 2.1 is a premier security product for Windows Mobile 2003-based personal digital assistants (PDAs). The security application offers automatic, real-time encryption of all data on a user’s PDA, including documents created with Microsoft Outlook, Notes, Pocket Word and more. Pointsec for Pocket PC 2.1 also automatically secures data stored on removable media.
