(ISC)2 Announces Addition To International Board Of Directors
VIENNA, Virginia, Dec. 3, 2003 The International Information Systems SecurityCertification Consortium (ISC)2, the non-profit leader dedicated to training,qualifying and certifying information security professionals worldwide, todayannounced the appointment of Mervin Pearce, CISSP, to its board of directors.Pearce was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of a boardmember.
Pearce is CEO of Security Audit and Control Solutions (SACS), the company hefounded in 1992, which specializes in IT risk management, security and audits,and consulting. Pearce also holds the distinction of receiving the first CISSP(Certified Information Systems Security Professional) credential in SouthAfrica, which he received in 1997.
Prior to founding SACS, Pearce served in various information security and riskmanagement positions in the banking industry, including Standard Bank of SouthAfrica, the largest bank in that country.
“I look forward to this opportunity to serve on the board of directors of(ISC)2 and to actively promote the importance of certification and training inthe information security profession in the international community,” Pearcesaid. “I am excited to be a part of the effort to extend the reach of (ISC)2throughout the world, and continue to grow our constituent base.”
