Captus Networks Announces Availability of Performance Test Results from the Test Labs of National Technical Systems
WOODLAND, Calif. – November 18, 2003 – Captus Networks today announced the availability of performance test results for Release 1.3 of the Captus IPS 4000 series. Testing was performed by the National Technical Systems (NASDAQ: NTSC), a leading third-party lab dedicated to providing organizations in the aerospace, defense, information technology (IT) and high technology markets integrated testing, certification, quality registration, and systems evaluation services. The tests were conducted using Spirent’s Web Avalanche and Web Reflector to quantify and qualify how the Captus intrusion prevention system performs under a broad range of security and network misuse threat scenarios. Among the results were the following findings:
· 100% of the threats were detected by the Captus IPS 4000 with no false positives
· 100% of the valid traffic passed with no packet loss
