Vontu Adds Three Industry Veterans to Executive Team
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF – October 22, 2003 – Vontu, Inc., a leading developer of security software to help global enterprises protect critical customer and company information from the insider security threat, today announced three additions to the executive management team. Doug Camplejohn will serve as Vice President of Product Marketing, Ken Kim as Vice President of Professional Services, and Charles Fortenbach as Vice President of Finance and Operations. The three bring a combined total of 45 years of experience in growing technology start-ups into successful organizations.

Doug Camplejohn, Vontu’s Vice President of Product Marketing, has a successful track record of defining products and successfully bringing them to market. Mr. Camplejohn was most recently the founder and CEO of myplay, which was sold to Bertelsmann in 2001. Prior to this, he was the founding VP of Marketing for Epiphany, a leader in enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Prior to Epiphany, Mr. Camplejohn served in a variety of senior Marketing and Product Management roles at enterprise software companies including Connectify and Broadbase (both acquired by Kana), Resonate and Differential (ultimately acquired by Tumbleweed). Mr. Camplejohn began his career at Apple Computer, where he launched QuickTime 1.0 and related products. Mr. Camplejohn received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with Honors and a M.S. in Industrial Administration (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University.
Ken Kim, Vontu’s Vice President of Professional Services, has led professional services teams and managed customer relationships around the world for high-growth software and consulting organizations. Mr. Kim comes to Vontu from E2open, where he was responsible for all go-to-market activities for Asia as the Vice President of Asia Development. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Consulting Services at Kana, where he grew and managed more than 150 consultants, the group responsible for implementing Kana’s eCRM solutions worldwide. During his tenure, Mr. Kim integrated a number of teams that came from acquisitions into a single seamless practice. Previously, Mr. Kim served in a similar capacity at Connectify, where he grew and managed the Professional Services group from start-up stage through the company’s acquisition by Kana. Before joining Connectify, Mr. Kim spent ten years with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), where he implemented solutions and managed practices involving electronic commerce and other large-scale systems. Mr. Kim received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University.
Charles Fortenbach, Vontu’s Vice President of Finance & Operations, has a proven record of building a solid financial and administrative infrastructure for similar venture backed software companies. Mr. Fortenbach most recently served as Director of Merger & Acquisition Finance at Siebel Systems, where he was involved in acquisition due diligence activities and integration planning. Prior to this he was Controller and Treasurer of OnLink Technologies. Before joining OnLink, Mr. Fortenbach was the Manager of the Business and Investment Analysis Group of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Co. This group performed an advisory function for Lockheed senior management on a wide range of issues facing the company, including consideration of investment and acquisition opportunities. Mr. Fortenbach received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering with Highest Honor from Georgia Tech, an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
