DallasCon Announces First Seminar in a Series of “Network Security Training” Workshops for 2004
Dallas, Texas – The organizers of the annual Dallascon Security Conference have today announced a series of special Network Security Training seminars to be held throughout 2004.
The first of these seminars is to be held on January 21-23, 2004 at the nationally recognized MicroTek training facility in Dallas. The first 2 days of the seminar is dedicated to a Network Assessment & Vulnerability Analysis course. This special workshop will include numerous hands-on exercises to better acquaint the participants with the various security concepts covered during class.
The 3rd day of the seminar will focus on a special course on Wireless Network Security. This will particularly concentrate on the areas of Security, Discovery, Penetration and Defense. Similar to the first 2 days, hand-on lab will be included as part of the training.
Workstations, network equipment, and all required software will be provided for the seminar; however, to take full advantage of Wireless Security seminar on January 23, students are encouraged to bring their own laptop equipped with a wireless network card.
