Intrusion PDS 2000, 5000 and 7000 Series Are Approved for Use With Check Point’s ITSEC E3 Certified VPN-1/FireWall-1 Next Generation

(Nasdaq: INTZ), today announced that the ITSEC certification of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP) market leading VPN-1(R)/FireWall-1(R) Next Generation(TM) (NG) software has been extended under the UK IT Security Evaluation and Certification Scheme to operation on the Intrusion PDS 2000, 5000 and 7000 Series with PDS Pilot 2.4 Appliance Management System.
ITSEC E3 (IT Security Evaluation Criteria) is an internationally recognized, European standard certification that provides an assurance of quality for technology-based security products. The ITSEC E3 level is the standard widely demanded in government and commercial sectors for systems handling the transmission of confidential data. The certificate was awarded to Intrusion Inc. for their Intrusion PDS Pilot 2.4 (7) Appliance Management System integrated with Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 NG software and gives an objective judgment of security soundness against internationally recognized criteria.

Intrusion PDS Appliances start at under $3,500 and include full range of appliances for remote and branch offices to Gigabit, multi-port gateways. Check Point Software is licensed separately at an additional cost.
