Clerical Medical Europe Deploying Entrust GetAccess to Secure Financial Services Portal
Web access control solution will enable up to 35,000 brokers and independent financial advisors to securely perform online transactions with 500,000+ customers throughout Europe
LONDON, U.K.- AUGUST 19, 2003 – Entrust, Inc.[NASDAQ: ENTU], a world leader in securing digital identities and information, today announced that Clerical Medical Europe (Clerical Medical) is implementing Entrust’s GetAccess TM to secure online processing of Life and Pensions transactions with customers and partners across Europe.
Clerical Medical’s E-solution portal enables customers and partners to complete and validate on-line applications at the point of sale, driving significant improvements in efficiency for their business. To realise the portal, Clerical Medical selected Entrust GetAccess to provide the security necessary for investment transactions to be performed on the Internet.
Entrust GetAccess is a high performance Web access control solution, providing Single Sign-On (SSO) and access management for Web portals. By virtue of its open and flexible architecture, Entrust GetAccess is enabling Clerical Medical to rapidly and securely deploy their Web applications into the E-solution infrastructure, leveraging a common authentication and authorisation framework. Furthermore, Clerical Medical’s brokers and advisors will be able to self-administer their user communities, thus reducing administrative overhead and improving efficiency.
