Leaders in Wireless LAN Security Working Together & Integrating Technologies
ATLANTA – August 12, 2003 – Two of the most trusted names in wireless LAN security are working together to lock down Wi-Fi networks for targeted government and enterprise accounts. Fortress Technologies and AirDefense Inc. today announced a strategic partnership to collectively provide encryption, authentication, rogue detection, intrusion protection, policy enforcement and performance monitoring for wireless LANs.
With the partnership, AirDefense has integrated AirFortress traffic signatures into the AirDefense wireless LAN monitoring platform. This integration allows AirDefense to recognize wireless LAN encryption and authentication from Fortress Technologies and monitor policy for all traffic to be properly authenticated and encrypted with AirFortress. The two companies are working together for future integration to provide a higher level of wireless LAN policy enforcement and intrusion protection.
AirDefense and Fortress Technologies also are coordinating their sales efforts into targeted accounts and working on joint marketing initiatives, such as educational seminars and selected trade shows.
