Netegrity Delivers Expanded Support for Oracle
Enables Companies to Incorporate Oracle Infrastructure As Part of Enterprise Wide Netegrity Identity and Access Management Deployments

Netegrity, Inc. (Nasdaq: NETE), a leading provider of identity and access management solutions, today announced that it has delivered key technologies to integrate Netegrity SiteMinder® technology with the Oracle9i infrastructure, including Oracle9i Application Server and Oracle9i Database. This product integration, undertaken as part of a strategic alliance between Oracle and Netegrity, enables customers to incorporate an Oracle environment into an enterprise wide single sign-on deployment managed by Netegrity. Customers now can centrally manage user privileges across Oracle applications as well as other enterprise applications, eliminating redundant administration of user information.

Netegrity has expanded its support for the Oracle9i infrastructure with the following:
SiteMinder Support for Oracle HTTP Server – Netegrity SiteMinder’s support for Oracle HTTP Server, the Apache-based Web Server included as part of Oracle9i Application Server, enables customers to incorporate Oracle9i Application Server as part of an enterprise wide single sign-on environment managed by SiteMinder. With Netegrity’s support for Oracle HTTP Server, customers can now benefit from a centralized access management model across all Web-based applications, including Oracle and non-Oracle applications, helping to eliminate the need to maintain and customize security enforcement logic built within each application and helping to lower the overall cost of security implementation. Netegrity SiteMinder support for Oracle HTTP Server is now available.
Netegrity SiteMinder Connector for Oracle – In order to provide enhanced security for Oracle environments, Netegrity is also introducing the Netegrity SiteMinder Connector for Oracle Solutions. This connector provides enhanced security to protect Oracle Web-based resources, including session synchronization and revalidation of the user’s SiteMinder session behind the DMZ, in a trusted zone or corporate internal network, prior to initiation of the Oracle session. SiteMinder’s two-tier authentication model is critical for enterprise applications like Oracle, which involve highly sensitive company information. The Netegrity SiteMinder Connector for Oracle is now available from Netegrity.
Native Support for Oracle User Stores – Netegrity also provides native integration with the Oracle9i Database and with Oracle Internet Directory, which is included as part of Oracle9i Application Server. This enables companies to leverage their existing Oracle user stores in combination with other user stores across the enterprise. This reduces costs and simplifies user administration by providing companies with one authoritative source for identity throughout the enterprise that can later be provisioned for access to other network systems, resources, and applications.
