Astaro Security Linux V4 Announced at LinuxWorld Expo

Today at LinuxWorld Expo, Astaro Corporation announced Astaro Security Linux V4. Astaro Security Linux is an integrated software solution that provides great performance in an all-in-one Firewall. Its hardened operating system, stateful packet inspection, content filtering (virus & surfing protection), application proxies and IPsec based VPN provides a powerful solution to be used in small and midsize businesses as well as enterprises.

Newly announced features contain VLAN and WLAN support, extended virus protection for POP3 email accounts, comprehensive heuristic spam blocking and expanded Radius and LDAP support for local and remote user authentication.

Astaro Security Linux V4 will be available at the company web site (www.astaro.com) from January 31. Entry license price of $390 is announced. The product is free to home users with special programs for non-profits and educational institutions.
