Norman Virus Control Receives Virus Bulletin 100% Award

The data security company Norman ASA has received yet another Virus Bulletin 100% Award. This signifies that Norman Virus Control (NVC) found 100% of the viruses reported to be in the wild at the time the test was conducted.

The November 2002 version of the magazine Virus Bulletin tested antivirus products on the Windows 2000 Advanced Server platform. 21 different products were tested. Virus Bulletin’s tests are among the most renowned international studies of antivirus products’ capability to detect rampant viruses. NVC has received 19 awards since Virus Bulletin introduced these tests in 1998. This ranks Norman among the leading market players in the antivirus industry.

“End users need solutions which can protect against the commonly encountered virus threats,” said Helen Martin, editor of Virus Bulletin. “Norman Virus Control’s In the Wild detection rates were excellent and the product justly earns Norman its 19th VB 100% award.”
