Utimaco Safeware appoints Chief Executive Officer

Oberursel, 4. November 2002 – As of 14th October 2002 Utimaco Safeware has appointed Martin W??lfert (36) as Chief Executive Officer. W??lfert has many years of management experience in managerial positions within the Novartis Group in the IT, Sales and Marketing sectors. The last position he held was as General Manager of Novartis Animal Health in Germany.

Martin W??lfert is responsible for both business sectors of Personal Device Security and Transaction Security and will resolutely continue to further the successful reorientation of the company specialized in offering solutions for workplace and transaction security. W??lfert brings reinforcement to the former two-man Board team of Christian Bohne and Dr. Norbert Pohlmann.
