RSA Conference 2002 – The Exhibitors
This year’s RSA Conference features 2900 square meters of exhibit space and more than 60 vendors displaying their products.
As with any conference, some of the vendors came to show themselves at their very best, others were… well, not that prepared.
The RSA exhibit for example is extremely well done, but that’s expected since it’s their own conference. Microsoft, despite being one of the major sponsors didn’t think much about their appearance; their exhibition went pretty much unnoticed.
Many vendors took the time to prepare interactive presentation of their products and are giving away all sorts of “gadgets” to please the visitors. This is, of course, not the case with all of them, some don’t even have materials in English.
So, when it comes to the organization of the conference, the speeches and tutorials, everything is really well done. The vendors should listen to the words of Art Coviello that said: “We still have a lot of work!”
Beside all the software and hardware developing companies, present at the conference was Osborne McGraw Hill – a leading publisher of self-paced computer training materials. Among the books they displayed at the conference there was something for everyone.
Some of the companies that took a lot of time to build a quality presentation for themselves include:
- NetScreen Technologies
- Blue Coat Systems
- nCipher
- Qualys
- Citrix
