Security Leaders Ink Agreement to Provide IPSec and Wireless LAN Security Solutions

PALO ALTO, Calif. and BURLINGTON, Mass. – Sept. 3, 2002 – SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading developer of Internet security solutions, and Bluesocket, Inc., the fast-growing developer of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) solutions, today announced a technology agreement to secure and manage wireless access to corporate and campus networks and the Internet using the SSH Sentinel?” IPSec client software and the Bluesocket family of Wireless Gateways.

SSH Sentinel, recognized this year as the “Best Internet Security Product” by SC Magazine readers, is a revolutionary Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) client for secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnels, peer-to-peer connections and wireless security, providing IT departments, OEMs and integrators with a transparent way to extend corporate security to the remote and wireless user. Bluesocket’s Wireless Gateway, recognized as the “Best Security Product of 2002” by the Networking Industry awards, will provide interoperability between SSH Sentinel and its Wireless Gateway products. The connection between end-user and enterprise access points will now provide strong and transparent authentication and encryption across IPSec gateways as well as support security inherent in new 802.11 networking equipment. Bluesocket Wireless Gateway products offer scalable, single component solutions for administration, management, class of service (CoS) and security of 802.11 b, a, g; Bluetooth and HiperLAN-based wireless networks for enterprises and service providers.
