Sophos Is Central Defender For The Football Association
Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, announced today that the Football Association (FA) has purchased Sophos Anti-Virus to protect it against over 73,000 computer viruses, worms and Trojan horses. The FA has also chosen to install the latest addition to the Sophos product suite, Enterprise Manager, to deliver continuous updates direct from Sophos against the very latest malware threats.
The FA selected Sophos Anti-Virus due to its unrivalled detection rates and superior technical support. Enterprise Manager provides it with automatic deployment of the newest virus identities – ensuring that the FA is protected from the most recent viruses whilst reducing its administrative load.
“We were looking for true experts to ensure that the FA remains virus-free, and in Sophos we found that,” said Ian Dimmock, IT Support Manager at the FA. “All our security solutions must be highly effective and effortless to administer – we switched to Sophos because it was able to provide this and much more.”
“Any business suffering a security breach is effectively putting its reputation on the line,” said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos. “The FA – along with an increasing number of other high profile organisations – is relying on Sophos to make certain that this doesn’t happen.”
The deal with the FA was completed by Sophos partner DPS Telecoms.Net in collaboration with the Sophos corporate sales team.
