Secure Computing Acquires Fipass Authentication Management Service From Fipoint, Inc.
Purchase Includes Customer Base and Intellectual Property
SAN JOSE, Calif., May 21, 2002 – Secure Computing Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise network access control solutions, today announced that it has acquired the intellectual property and customer base of FiPass, an authentication management and identity verification service, from FiPoint, Inc.
The FiPass authentication platform is powered by Secure Computing’s SafeWordâ„? technology. FiPass, a universal solution for identity verification, has already proven to be highly effective for authentication within corporate and government intranets and extranets.
