Sophos launches OEM team to span the globe
Global team to provide worldwide service and support to security partners
Lynnfield, MA – Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus solutions, today announced that it has launched a global OEM team to further develop and service worldwide technology partners.
Due to increasing demand within the marketplace, Sophos has expanded its OEM service and support worldwide to accommodate third-party developer interest. A vast number of software companies, businesses, ISPs and ASPs have integrated Sophos’s powerful virus protection technology with their software and services.
CipherTrust, developer of IronMail, the first security appliance for corporate email systems, partnered with Sophos after exploring other anti-virus solutions. “Offering customers an anti-virus solution that provides dependable scanning and high-performance is a critical component in a comprehensive email security solution and that’s why we selected Sophos,” said Steve Raber, President and COO of CipherTrust. “Sophos has an impressive reputation in the industry for providing a first-rate product and it has a long-history of dedication to virus research.”
The OEM team will span all corners of the world, which will bring tremendous value to those partners conducting business worldwide. Ralph Pisani, Jr., director of business development at Sophos Americas, will lead the team from its Boston office, Andy Thomson will oversee Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) from Sophos Plc in the UK, and Philip Kemp will cover the Asia and Pacific regions (APAC) from Sophos’s Australian office in Sydney.
